Words on our Historical Marker: "Pioneer families of Crabapple organized this church in the 1880s. Members met in a school building before erecting this sanctuary in 1897. Elder Julius Rusche supervised the design, carpentry, and native limestone masonry construction. An excellent example of vernacular architecture with slight Gothic influences, it features a massive stone foundation, double door entry, and 4/4 wood windows with stone lintels and sills. Services were discontinued in 1962."
